4th GBM Panel of Accepted Pre-pharmacy Students
Come out to our last and most anticipated meeting of the year! Hear from students who were accepted to USC, UOP, UCSF, Western, UCSD and Pacific University. Learn about their volunteer/job experience, application, interview, etc. Learn why they chose the school they did. Come out as we celebrate the end of the school year together! Snacks and raffles will be provided. We will having a surprise social afterwards! There will also be a raffle so don't miss out. If you raised more than $100 for Relay for Life, please come to the meeting to pick up your prize!

3rd GBM Loma Linda University/Personal Statement Workshop
Come out to our 3rd GBM of pring quarter! If you are interested in teaching as a pharmacist, we are hosting a professor from Lomda Linda University who can answer all of your questions regarding the university and what it's like to teach with a Pharm D. degree.
Are you writing your personal statement? Are you having writer's block? Have no fear! Come to our personal statement workshop afterwards. Come learn about how you can approach the personal statement! We are also going to be announcing our new officers for the year 2009-2010. See you all there!

Officer Aplications for 2009-2010 are now available online.
As stressed in the beginning of the year, the officers for PPS will be selected based upon their active participation in PPS this school year for the best interests of the club. This will not only reward those who took an active role in the club, but ensure that we have competent officers who will work ard next year towards achieving this organization's purpose of recruiting new members and expanding the PPS network of pre-pharmacy students.

Come to hear a representative from USC school of pharmacy talk about how to enhance your application for pharmacy chool admissions.
Learn how to present ourself as an individual in your pharmacy school aplication. Afterwards, we will be holding a letter of recommendation and pharmcas workshop. This is a highly recommended meeting that you don't want to miss! Please notice the time change from usual meetings.

We are honored to have Dr. Raffi Simonian Pharm. D, the director of the department of pharmacy at UCSD Medical Center, come speak at our first GBM. Don't miss the chance to listen to this amazing speaker! Come and hear about our exciting upcoming events like our 10th year anniversary dance, Relay for Life and officers aplications. Afterwards, there will be an after meeting social.
We are also conducting a silent auction for a PCAT course with Kaplan during the eeting. The bidding for the course will start at $500.00 (normally retails for $1,399). Only serious bidders please.

Our 4th general body meeting is next week March 4, 2009 featuring a panel of pharmacy students from the Skaggs School of pharmacy. Come hear from these tudents what UCSD is looking for. We will have students who were UCSD undergraduates so the students can definitely relate to the undergraduate experience at UCSD.

Having a tough time debating whether pharmacy is right for you? Well let our panel of pharmacists from different fields of pharmacy share with you why they choose pharmacy as their career. Learn what advice they would give to pre-pharmacy students, their experiences aplying to pharmacy school and what happens once you get in. Most of all, hear about their experiences as practicing pharmacist. Afterwards, we will be holding a "how to write a resume workshop for admissions into pharmacy school."

Welcome back to PPS! Come to our first general body meeting of the winter quarter and find out what we have in store for you for the coming quarter! A representative from Western University will talk about their pharmacy program and what makes the university unique. Afterwards, come and mingle with us in our after meeting social.
For our first GBM, we will announce the winners for the sweater and T-shirt design. For those of you who wants to buy one, we are asking that you pre-order with us. Please bring $5 to pre-order the sweater or T-shirt. If you are interested in purchasing both, please bring $10 to pre-order.

The program will offer insight into managed care as a new field in pharmacy. Afterwards, we will be offering a pre-requisite workshop especially recommended for freshmen and sophomores! Learn what classes will satisfy the pre-requisites for California pharmacy schools.

Hey everyone! Pre-pharmacy Society will like to welcome you to another great year at UCSD! During welcome week we will be tabling out on Library Walk. So look for us there and if you guys have any questions or comments please come chat with us!
We have a lot of great ideas for this upcoming year. We want to make this club as informative and helpful as possible for all you pharmacists-to-be but we want to make it fun as well! Check back with our website for updates! We'll be posting photos, upcoming meetings, events, and other things.
