HMP3 Health Screening

The HMP3 is organizing an all day health screening event Saturday, November 7th from 9-5pm in El Cajon. The 2-6 pm shift, specifically, is still in need of volunteers (~10 people). There are several positions that you can choose from (check the "Volunteer Registration Form") and Spanish speaking skill is a plus but NOT a must. Rides will be provided at Peterson Loop at 1:15PM. So if you're interested, fill out the

kmurray@projects.sdsu.edu ASAP because spaces are filling up fast.

GBM #3: Panel of UCSD Skaggs Pharmacy Students/ Prerequisite Workshop

PPS will be featuring a Panel of UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy students who will be there to answer any questions you may have regarding the application process, interviewing for pharmacy school, and what it is like to be a student in pharmacy school. Come prepared with lots of questions to ask the panel of student pharmacists!
Afterward, PPS will be hosting a Prerequisite Workshop to learn what courses you need to complete prior to pharmacy school. Different schools have different requirements so come and find out which classes you need to take to be prepared!
Pizza, Drinks, and awesome Raffle Prizes will be provided!
**PPS Membership cards will also be ready for you to pick up at this GBM. This is the last day for the discounted membership card price of $10. Afterward it will remain at $15 for the rest of the year**

PPS Mentor/Mentee Revealing

Come out before PPS game night to meet your mentor or mentee! Everyone is paired up and we have decided to split everyone into larger 'families' with two PPS officers per 'family'.
After meeting your mentor/mentee, we will be having a special activity that will allow you to get to know your mentor or mentee better! Its a surprise that will leave you with everlasting memories, so everyone is encouraged to come out and participate! When our surprise activity is completed, we can all go to Asante Hall and play some games for PPS game night.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

We will be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Balboa Park. Participating in the walk is free but you can also make a donation to the American Cancer Society on behalf of Pre-Pharmacy Society. Donations will be used for various cancer research. There will be free food, drinks, and a "secret prize" for the person who raises the most amount of money. Rides will be provided at Peterson Loop at 6:30 am. We will be leaving at 6:45 am SHARP, so don't be late!

Afterwards we will be having a Why Pharmacy? workshop to remind you guys
why we all chose pharmacy.
The pharmacy students from UCSD would also like to offer any revisions on
personal statements that you guys have, so take this opportunity to get
your personal statement revised by students who've gotten into pharmacy
school already! To do so, bring your personal statements in on this first
GBM and we'll hand them over to the pharmacy students to edit.
